Campbell Company of Canada, producers of the infamous Campbell's Soup brand, is facing a backlash from anti-halal protesters a year after introducing a range of halal products to cater for Muslim consumers.
Some of the protesters are even going so far as to claim that anybody who purchases Campbell products is supporting terrorism in a completely misguided attack against the company.
The backlash appears to simply be anti-Islamic sentiment after Campbell's introduced their new products to meet halal requirements. The problem apparently arises from the products gaining approval from the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), who have admitted ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. This has led to a group protesting the ISNA label, with an associated facebook group that has 3000 members.
