Kraft foods Philippines has received an award for its compliance with Halal principles according to executives of the company. The Halal Leadership Award was given by the Islamic Da’wah Council of the Philippines (IDCP) to the company in recognition of their compliance with halal guidelines.
The company have been making food for the Filipino market for nearly 50 years and has developed a number of well known brands in the country, including Tang and Kool Aid powdered beverages; Maxwell House coffee; Kraft Eden Cheese, Kraft Cheddar Cheese and Cheez Whiz cheese spread; Oreo, Chips Ahoy! and Tiger cookies; Toblerone and Cadbury chocolates and confectionaries; Miracle Whip all-purpose dressing, Kraft Real Mayonnaise and Sandwich Spread; and Halls, Dentyne and Clorets candies.
